Loretta Bedford

IMG_4103.jpg

As a play writer and director:

Loretta was somewhat challenged by God to write the first play "Satan Has Left The Building" as a fund raising event back in 2002. After praying about what sheI could do to raise money for the church anniversary someone from that church said "you can do a play".sheI questioned, "what play?" "We don't have one.” As she walked away the Lord spoke to her and said, "You could write one.”

At the age of five (5), her mother started encouraging her to sing with her in their local church.  More than fifty years later, she's still singing.   By the time she was fifteen (15) she was singing in a couple of the choirs within her church (Youth choir & the Adult choir).  Later she was added to yet another choir at this church.

TESTIMONIALS

PLAY: SATAN HAS LEFT THE BUILDING

shldb flyer.jpg

"This morning, Sabrea came into my bedroom and she was very upset because she had a very BAD dream. She said she couldn’t get the thought of the dream out of her mind because someone died in the dream, Instantly we prayed!  I thank God that I was able to see the play last night because I used the play as an example of how satan wants to destroy our minds. Sabrea and I talked about various scenes in the play where satan was trying to put negative thoughts in the minds of people and how God won! Thank you for taking the word of God and visually showing my child that she can trust the Lord and honor the Lord with her gifts, talents, and abilities. Many blessings! Thank you!"

"I just had one of the teens from my job tell me that even though she doesn’t believe in God, she felt the love so                                                           strongly at the theatre last night. HALLELUJAH!"

"Hey, when y’all did that last church scene and was declaring things in the atmosphere I was ready to have church! I had done entered in a couple of times already! Praise the Living God! I feel my help coming!"

"One of my co-workers came in to work after seeing this play and said that the play was so awesome! He brought his camera to record it so his wife could see since she couldn’t make it. He was so engrossed in the play that he                                forgot he had the camera on his lap. He said he cried during the entire show!"

"Praise God for all of you who allowed my prayer to be answered “to be in a gospel play the told how great our God is.” Thank you Sister Loretta and I know God is going to use you to write more wonderful plays. To the talented cast I say keep on working for God because you do it well. When you have children questioning you about the play you know God has touched some hearts - praise God. Sister Wendy Shelton I just want to say you set it off with that beautiful worship which God inhabits, so it was on after that. LOL! God bless and I hope to work with all of you again."
