As A Play Writer & Director
Loretta was somewhat challenged by God to write the first play "Satan Has Left The Building" as a fund raising event back in 2002. After praying about what sheI could do to raise money for the church anniversary someone from that church said "you can do a play".sheI questioned, "what play?" "We don't have one.” As she walked away the Lord spoke to her and said, "You could write one.”
After giving that some thought she sat down and within two weeks completed "Satan Has Left The Building" and started planning the auditions. That play was done before 250 people in 2002 and three times in 2004 before an audience of 800-1200 people.
Since then she has written five additional plays and performed four of them. After the first two plays the cast stated that they performed better when she was on the set with them which they experienced whenever someone that was absent. The titles of the other plays are: "He's Back: who left the gate open?", “He Got Up”, “You Don’t Know Me”, “Modern Day Birth of the King” and “Irresponsible Stewards (Not performed)”.
The plays and skits that she writes and direct are all inspired by the Holy Spirit. These plays are designed to bring the Word of God to life in a way that leaves an impact in the lives and hearts of those watching.
Laughter not only promotes healing but we tend to remember things that make us laugh. What better tool to use in reminding us of Godly living than applying the word of God to our daily lives and our life style.
Now that she is retired she has more time to spend on writing songs and plays. She's looking forward to where God will take her from here. Thank you all for your past, present and future support.
As A Recording Artist
At the age of five (5), her mother started encouraging her to sing with her in their local church. More than fifty years later, she's still singing. By the time she was fifteen (15) she was singing in a couple of the choirs within her church (Youth choir & the Adult choir). Later she was added to yet another choir at this church.
She attended various gospel workshops and began singing with various community choirs as well as her church choir. Then she began singing solos for weddings, funerals, special functions etc. It was during this time that she also began singing with the City of West Palm Beach Choral group and have been with them for 28 years.
She is currently a recording artist. The first recording was a single released on cassette tape, December 1990. The second recording was a seven song CD, the third CD was “Enough is Enough” released in 2005 and currently being played on WJFP. New Single Release “You Are” released November 1, 2013.
